TWYMAN SECOND IN SUPERSPORT FEATURE RACE WITH EHA RACING

TWYMAN GRABS SUPERSPORT PODIUM FOR EHA RACING AT SNETTERTON

Ross Twyman’s second British Supersport Championship podium of the season – taking second place in Sunday’s feature race at Snetterton – has moved him and EHA Racing back into third place in the 2018 middleweight championship standings. Twyman battled back from eighth place at the end of lap one, closing out a two second gap on the three-way battle for second place, which he eventually headed on the penultimate lap. Once in front he gapped his rivals on the final 2.9-mile lap of Snetterton, to post his best ever result in the class with that fine second place for EHA Racing.

Twyman said afterwards: “We’ve had a tough couple rounds, both David and I, but to come here and grab my best ever result; I’m delighted for both myself and the team, as the EHA Racing crew put in a lot of hard work. It was great to get back into an on-track battle and come out on top. Once I caught them I knew I had the pace to take second place, but it was all about biding my time for the perfect opportunity. I’m over the moon.” Team Manager Gail Allingham added: “Ross showed great fighting spirit today and rounded out a pretty good day for EHA Racing after the Superstock side of the garage managed to grab a top step. Hopefully this will be enough now to allow Ross to kick on and really fulfil the potential that we know he has. David had a tough task thrown in front of him today, but to come from as far back as he did and finish eighth was a respectable enough result. He was happier in the garage and more relaxed on the bike, so like Ross, there’s a podium in there for sure, and very soon.”
