TOUGH WEEKEND BUT EHA RACING STILL SMILING AFTER BRANDS HATCH

EHA Racing Remain Positive After Tough Weekend At Brands Hatch

Despite Brands Hatch throwing up a number of curve balls with inclement weather and mechanical teething problems, EHA Racing will take the positives from two hard-fought top eight finishes from David Allingham and Ross Twyman today in the British Supersport Championship. Allingham now holds fourth place in the championship standings and Twyman seventh as the season reaches the mid-way point.

Explaining the weekend, Team Manager Gail Allingham said:

There’s no doubt it was a tough weekend for our Supersport boys at Brands. Firstly Ross was on the all new EHA Racing, 2017 specification Yamaha R6, which unfortunately is proving a little difficult to set-up on the electronic side of things. We aren’t far away but it still needs a bit of work. The wrong choice of tyres for the Sprint Race on Saturday really ended our hopes of any podium finishes, as for the dry race on Sunday, we started so far back on the grid – although both Ross and David rode superbly to come through the pack to make it up to sixth and seventh. On a brighter note, it was great to have so many of our sponsors with us this weekend, especially Francis and Sue from Greenacre Capital who were attending for the first time; hopefully the first of many. The continued support of our sponsors really is appreciated as we couldn’t go racing without them.

Ross Twyman:

This weekend at Brands Hatch I decided to run the new bike and Friday went well and we were in the top ten straight away. Then over the weekend It became a little difficult with the throttle set-up and I qualified on row eight, which meant I had lots of work to do, but did manage thirteenth in difficult conditions, and with the wrong tyre choice! Today I started fifteenth and we made improvements with the bike. I ended up seventh, so overall I’m happy with the progress we made, but yes a little frustrated, as I know I can be on the box. Massive thanks to Ed, Gail and all at EHA Racing. Also a big thanks to my personal sponsors for their continued support.
